All non-European students need a visa to study in France.

Before coming to France

A visa application is mandatory, either through the Campus France website (if your country is part of the Campus France/Studies in France program) or directly with the nearest French Consulate (see the Campus France website). For students not residing in their country of origin, visa applications must be submitted to the French consulate in their country of residence.

• Once in France, and depending on the visa you received

  • The “CESEDA R311-3-6” Student Visa (also known as VLS-TS valid for 3 months before renewal), is issued to students coming for an academic year, and sometimes for a semester. Mandatory procedures upon arrival in France to obtain an extension include payment of the official fee (€60 in 2024) and an interview with the OFII. With this visa, you can apply for CAF housing benefits and work in France (up to 60% of the legal working hours).
  • The “Temporary Long Stay” visa (VLS-T), is generally issued to students coming to stay for a semester. There are no specific procedures to follow once in France, but students are not entitled to apply for housing benefits from the CAF and are not authorized to work.
  • International student mobility grant (Grand Est Region)
  • Erasmus+ grant
  • Erasmus+ supplementary grant for people with disabilities

We provide assistance in finding accommodation through our partner Studapart.

  • Average cost: ~€480/month
  • Housing assistance (CAF) is available for eligible VISA holders.
  • Home insurance is mandatory for all tenants in France.

Health insurance is mandatory. European students can use their EHIC card. Non-European students must register for French Social Security (free of charge) upon arrival.

Campus

The Paris Education campus brings together two specialized higher education institutions that share common values: educational excellence, access to employment, international openness, and the development of both technical and managerial skills.

Located in the 20th arrondissement, 400 meters from public transport (metro, bus and tram), this completely renovated building integrates sports halls, a cafeteria, meeting rooms, an amphitheater and numerous co-working spaces in a space designed by our architects and a Feng Shui expert.
